Resorts World to host “Legends of the 80s” night

If you’re craving a throwback night to the 80s, this event is perfect for you.

Resorts World Casino is hosting a “Legends of the 80’s” concert on Saturday, October 8th at 9 p.m., featuring Doug E. Fresh, Biz Markie, Atlantic Starr and Sisqo.

Doug E. Fresh first performed in 1983 and broke into hip hop with his single “The Show/La di Da di,” which became an instant classic in his album Reality. His second album, The World’s Greatest Entertainer, broke into the Billboard charts with the single “Keep Risin’ to the Top.”

Biz Markie is another household name in hip hop history. His 1998 single “Just a Friend” became an instant hit, still reverberating on radio stations today.

R&B singer Sisqo was the lead singer of the R&B group Dru Hill with singles like We’re Not Making Love No More. Sisqo was also behind the memorable single Thong Song, a karaoke classic. As a solo artist, he won “Male Artist of the Year” at the 2000 Billboard Music Awards and was nominated for “Best New Artist” in the 2001 Grammys.
