Authorities say that last night at approximately 5:06 p.m., police responded to a car collision at 115th Avenue and 130th Street.
Police found 40-year-old Zaalika Rasool, of 107-20 95th Avenue, laying on the ground unconscious and unresponsive. EMS pronounced her deceased at the scene.
Authorities also found a 9-year-old girl in the crash. She was taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital and is in critical condition.
EMS found a 71-year-old man and a 47-year-old man at another vehicle. They were taken to Jamaica Hospital.
A police investigation found that one of the cars, a BMW ignored a stop sign and continued through the intersection at a high speed. The BMW struck a Toyota Corolla and then hit three parked cars before coming to a stop.
The driver behind the wheels of the BMW fled the scene.
An investigation is ongoing by the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad.
