Local elected officials are working with the Lower East Side Ecology Center for a free electronic waste recycling event.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, drop off the approved items at First United Methodist Church of Jamaica’s parking lot, located at 87th Road and 162nd Street:
- Working and non-working computers
- Monitors
- Printers
- Scanners
- Keyboards
- Mouse
- Cables
- Televisions
- VCRs
- DVD players
- Phones
- Audio/Visual equipment
- Cell phones
- PDAs
Remember that it is illegal now to dispose e-waste in landfills, regular trash or waste-to-energy facilities. Avoid the fines and ensure e-waste is disposed of responsibly!
